We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Data Portfolio Manager to join AstraZeneca out of either our UK or US locations. The Data Enablement Portfolio Governance Lead combines functional leadership with project/management to drive the data strategy into the Customer-Facing IT functions and ultimately enhance business outcomes through robust and best-practice data management. This role requires key experience to interpret complex principles, generate and shape the vision, promote and syndicate the concept with senior partners as well as executing the resulting the change projects with values of up to $20M. Additional focus areas include partner management (at senior organisational levels), risk management and delivery of business benefit. Typical Accountabilities Include the following Programme Governance * Development, and ongoing oversight, of Governance frameworks across both the Data Enablement BAU functions and the Data Change portfolio * Chairmanship and facilitation of senior governing forums including Data & Analytics Steering Committees and Functional Peer Reviews * Strong and collaborative partner management including identification and ongoing engagement * Complete resolution of issues from identification and collaborating with senior partners to derive an acceptable solution. * Interpreting complex principles and translating them to easily understood requirements to deliver simplified messaging appropriate for communication to various levels of organisational seniority Vision Generation * Interpret complex principles, generate and shape the vision, promote and syndicate the concept with senior partners as well as executing the resulting the change projects * Conceptualisation - listen, interpret, build ideas, identify, engage and manage partners, syndication, execution * Translate the vision to deliver simplified messaging which is appropriate for communication to various levels of organisational seniority * Communicate vision, generate & maintain executive agreement * Anticipate directional changes & pro-actively develop contingency plans & actions * Extensive years of experience facing-off to Senior Executive Stakeholders Partnership with CFITs * Partner with CFIT teams to promote and expand the reach of the Data Enablement team and the business benefits that can be gained through employing standard methodology data management techniques Process Development * Build new processes & services from scratch (e.g. Peer Review, Common Data Components (CDCs) and Data Baseline Maturity Assessment). * Developing new associated services for the management of data. * Utilise expertise with external management and control frameworks (e.g. Prince 2, Agile, COBIT) to bring best-practice techniques to AZ process management. Programme Management * You will drive and approve plans for projects / programmes, including activities, resources, costs, roles, responsibilities and quality as defined in the IT Project Management Methodology (ADF). * Manage and coordinate project / programme budgets, forecasts, tasks, schedules, risks, change management, and status to support effective decisions and project reporting to partners and review boards. * Manage and coordinate interdependencies between projects and programme workstreams (intra-program and across portfolio). * Maintain relationships with senior business partners to ensure the effective capturing of business requirements and commitment to project/program objectives. Responsible for steering / partner meetings, communication of status, issues, risks. * Drive effective risks & issues management, ensuring processes are in place and effectively used. Ensure problems resolved and raise as appropriate. * Build a cohesive project /programme team and provide the leadership necessary to improve the team's success. * Own project / programme improvement plans and lead all aspects of execution of remediation plans. * Manage changes to project/programme scope, ensuring that all impacts and changes are approved and appropriately communicated to partners and review boards. * Assure / develop service transition plans to ensure project delivered solutions are sustainable within a BAU operations environment, including controlled hand-over into operational support. * Ensure the project team adheres to all standards including ADF, quality, and compliance, as well as processes, defined technical capabilities, and standard methodologies.
