We pride ourselves on supporting our customers across a variety of topics with a major focus on advanced embedded systems - for example many core systems, hypervisors - classic and adaptive AUTOSAR - for example training, migration and extensions - and functional safety (e.g. ISO26262 compliance) We are recruiting for an experienced Field Application Engineer ( Automotive Software) to join the team based in York with international travel a prerequisite. In this role you will be responsible for supporting Product Managers during the business acquisition phase, you will attend technical customer meetings giving demonstrations. You will also work with the Product Development team providing team use cases and helping on understanding customer requirements, you will be the technical bridge between customers and the Development team. Job Description In this role you will support production demonstrations, execution of pilot projects and evaluations with our customers. You will also support ETAS-RTA Solutions regional organisation and customer engagements requiring regional and international travel. You will contribute to software product trainings, with responsibility for second level support. Supporting the Product development team on the elicitation of customer requirements You will offer a consultative approach in all customer contact in person, skype and phone calls. Qualifications A degree in an engineering discipline - for example: Computer Science, Control Engineering/Theory or Electronics) You will have experience with Requirements engineering with demonstrable business analytical skills AUTOSAR experience would be a distinct advantage You will be a confident communicator who feels at ease presenting technical information to customers Demonstrable interpersonal, intercultural and networking skills and experience You will have a goal orientated approach, with leadership and team orientations skills and ideally a proven background in interdisciplinary team work.
