Support Worker 6 month Contract (FEMALE only)
Overview
Job Description
Bring your great customer service skills to work with us! Join us as a Temporary Support Worker on a 6 month contract... We know that in these challenging times as businesses are having to close, their staff will be looking for additional, or new, employment opportunities. At the same time, some of our regular staff are having to self-isolate. We can help each other! We love what we do and are recognised as an award winning charity for our passion and dedication. Join us as a Temporary Support Worker and you'll soon see why. Outline You'll be supporting women who have learning disabilities, autism and complex behaviours. They need support with a range of activities from the everyday living needs and 'must dos' (such as assisting with medications, supporting with attending health and medical appointments), through to the lighter side of life doing things like becoming involved with the local community, shopping, baking, walking, swimming, listening to music, watching movies and socialising with family and friends. Over time, you'll help them become more independent. There is also some personal care involved with these roles. Our home operates 24/7 and shifts are organised well in advance and worked on a rota basis. Shifts will include evenings, weekends and sleep-ins About us We are an award winning charity that has the core belief that everyone has potential, something to offer and a valuable contribution to make to their community. We use a person centered approach to keep the people we support safe, happy and healthy and to ensure each individual is able to live a life that makes sense to them. Using a Positive Behavior Support strategy ensures we see the person first, not their disability. What we need from you Firstly, you don't need experience to become a Support Worker but it's not easy. The work can be demanding and challenging at times but no two days are the same and the reward of seeing YOUR personal impact is incredibly inspiring and it's something you'll never forget. As long as you have the passion and drive to want to make a real difference, we'll teach you the rest. With your key attributes and our training, together we can deliver the best possible support. You MUST be a driver with a manual licence as you will need to drive service mobility vehicles for when lockdown is relaxed. What to do next Interested?
