Job Description

Bring your great customer service skills to work with us! Join us as a Temporary Support Worker on a 3 month contract... We know that in these challenging times as businesses are having to close, their staff will be looking for additional, or new, employment opportunities. At the same time, some of our regular staff are having to self-isolate. We can help each other! We love what we do and are recognised as an award winning charity for our passion and dedication. Join us as a Temporary Support Worker and you'll soon see why. Outline You'll join our house in the Wirral where you'll be supporting five adults (females) with a range of activities from the everyday living needs and 'must dos' (such as assisting with medications, supporting with attending health and medical appointments and personal care), through to the lighter side of life doing things like becoming involved with the local community, going shopping, baking, listening to music and going for walks. The ladies you will be supporting all have complex needs however, we will provide you with all the training you'll need to be able to support them as best you can. Maybe you've got some hobbies you'd like to introduce to our home including other ideas for day trips and activities. There are so many opportunities whereby you can come in and help us to make a huge difference. You'll take your turn working shifts on a rota basis which includes weekends and bank holidays. About us We are an award winning charity that has the core belief that everyone has potential, something to offer and a valuable contribution to make to their community. We use a person centered approach to keep the people we support safe, happy and healthy and to ensure each individual is able to live a life that makes sense to them. Using a Positive Behavior Support strategy ensures we see the person first, not their disability. What we need from you Firstly, you don't need experience to become a Support Worker but it's not easy. The work can be demanding and challenging at times but no two days are the same and the reward of seeing YOUR personal impact is incredibly inspiring and it's something you'll never forget. As long as you have the passion and drive to want to make a real difference, we'll teach you the rest. With your key attributes and our training, together we can deliver the best possible support. It will be a bonus if you hold a full manual driving licence which allows you to drive in the UK but it is not essential. What to do next Interested?
