: Job Description: DXC seek a number of "Infrastructure Specialist/architects to join the Account teams driving IT transformation with our customers. Working in close conjunction with the Account Technical Leads, we seek candidates with a solid understanding in key technology areas, with a passion for transformation and delivery- led growth. Ideal candidates will have a strong footing in the planning, delivery and governance of large scale projects and solutions. To help drive the projects and support our customer at various stages in their transformation journey they should be specialists in two or more specific technology areas with the ability to work across other technologies or be a strong generalist with proven technical delivery experience. Essential Skills include: Platform Hosting (Windows/Linux/UNIX/Mainframe) Storage and Backup technologies Virtualisation and converged infrastructure Security Additional skills would be beneficial: Cloud and Platform Service, AWS, Azure Workplace and Mobility Network Services Agile Development, DevOps Our Lead Engineers work in the following sectors: Public Sector Financial Services Manufacturing and Logistics Energy Insurance and Capital Markets Retail Role Scope: Understands, at a detailed level, of the architectural dependencies of technologies in use within the customer's IT environment. Frequently uses product and application knowledge along with internals or architectural knowledge to develop solutions. A recognized expert in one or more technologies within own technical community and also at regional level. Advanced subject matter knowledge of complex Technical issues and is regarded by others as a subject matter expert. Responsible for providing a detailed technical design for Enterprise Solutions and in cases will be the Principal Consultant that analyses and develops Enterprise Technology solutions. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Worked with multiple customers addressing medium to large project and programs, regularly leads in the technical assessment and delivery of specific solutions to the customer. Undertakes activities and provides qualitative and quantitative information where required supports sales activities, manages actions in conjunction with bids or major input into the sales lifecycle. Able to communicate with internal and external senior management confidently and demonstrate the professionalism of the job family. Acts as a mentor for other members of the organisation and encourages sharing of knowledge, skills and experience with all.
