Job Description

Overview We are looking for a talented Full-Stack Software Developer to support the manufacture of our Mass Spectrometry products through the design and development of automated instrument test software. This role offers the opportunity to work with a wide variety of technologies in a highly collaborative, agile environment, to deliver bespoke software products as part of an overall transformation of our manufacturing processes. This is a one-year contract role with the strong likelihood of extension based on company needs and individual performance. Responsibilities * Design, develop, test and maintain software developed for the automated testing of mass spectrometers * Provide code and supporting documentation in accordance with the software development processes and quality system. * Work in close partnership with product assurance engineers and manufacturing test engineers * Contribute to team and project continuous improvement activities * Build strong working relationships with other departments including the Instrument Control Software Department Qualifications Experience: * Expertise in at least one of C#, C++, Lua * Experience in web development using TypeScript/JavaScript * Knowledge of Node/Angular frameworks * Knowledge of software engineering practices (e.g. Unit testing, TDD, CI/CD, BDD). * Knowledge of Atlassian Toolset (JIRA/Bitbucket/Bamboo) Competencies: * Proven ability to work as part of a cross discipline agile team * Self-starter with a good ability to work independently and take initiative * Background or interest in science/engineering * Ability to analyze and solve complex problems * Excellent communication skills Company Description Waters Corporation (NYSE: WAT), the world's leading specialty measurement company, has pioneered chromatography, mass spectrometry and thermal analysis innovations serving the life, materials and food sciences for 60 years.
