Job title: CCTV Controller Location: City of London Role Purpose: To protect our client's premises from criminal activity and to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all those within by protecting them from verbal and physical abuse. Role Requirements: Pay: To be discussed Hours: Full time - Shift work 3 on 3 off With this key role we are looking for an exceptional CCTV licensed security professional to be part of a newly won contract. We require you to be knowledgeable within GDPR and data protection principles. To be able to follow processes and keep a sharp eye on the client's property and maintain proper radio etiquette at all times. Answering phones according to clients procedures and script, reporting any defect to the duty manager for remedy Specific Duties: To operate, monitor, evaluate and maintain CCTV systems, ensuring visual images are always to necessary standard, downloading recordings for the Police Law Enforcement agencies and ensuring compliance with data protection Manage the dedicated emergency telephones and the telephone system and be aware of emergency response procedures Manage the radio networks communicating with Security To maintain the key issue records through and deal with the key issues to Staff and contractors To maintain records of all visitors and contractors to the Security Control Room Monitor the Fire Alarm systems and pass on via radio or telephone any information necessary for the safety and security of Freshfields Report as necessary any incidents to the emergency services Undertake any other duties that are necessary within the Security Control room. Report any failures or issues to the Duty Shift Manager Co-ordinate Investigations of all emergency situations, fire alarm, electrical, gas, plumbing and mechanical indicators in the buildings and surrounding areas and respond as per site procedure Report immediately to the Duty Shift Manager any action or inaction which compromise safety Maintain a healthy and safe place of work, ensuring all posts are in a clean and tidy condition at all times Report missing, damaged or unserviceable equipment to the Duty Shift Manager Co-operate so that the Company can carry out its statutory duty under Health & Safety at work Act 1974 and all statutory provisions Not intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse any property, equipment IT hardware or systems in the interest of health, safety and welfare Submit reports on incidents/accidents as instructed by the Duty Shift Manager Be aware of, and adhere to Axis Security's policies and procedures To positively participate in staff welfare and development programmes Carry out all other site specific duties as required by the Duty Shift Manager, as detailed in the Assignment Instructions. These may include, but are not limited to mail examination, escorting, random and specific search procedures To be suitable for this role you must meet all of the following criteria: SIA CCTV License - Required Security Management Qualification - Desirable First Aid - trained desirable Health and Safety Qualification - Desirable Member of a professional security related body i.e. Security Institute, ASIS etc Knowledge of the security industry Working Knowledge of data protection and GDPR principles.
