Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Band 6 Physiotherapist who wishes to further develop their clinical and leadership skills within the Rehabilitation and Enablement which is based within the South Locality multi-disciplinary team, in Dunstable, Bedfordshire. This multi-disciplinary team aims to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions by promoting realistic and achievable rehabilitation goals. We also aim to accelerate hospital discharges within a safe and timely manner. You will be joining a friendly and supportive team where professional guidance is readily available. You will need excellent communication and time management skills, and sound clinical knowledge. A flexible approach is required to accommodate the changing needs of the service along with the drive to influence service development. Effective team working is essential to ensure an integrated approach to patient care and to enable patients to reach their full potential. You will be working closely with a dedicated team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Assistants and Support staff, and will be working primarily within the Community Physiotherapy aspect of the team. There may also be a requirement for you to work with clients who are receiving intervention in our rehabilitation beds. It is essential that you possess a full valid driving licence and have access to a car to use regularly for business purposes. Good IT skills are required for electronic patient records and equipment ordering. The successful applicant will be required to work flexibly across 7 days covering weekends and Bank Holidays on a rota basis.
