Pride In London

London, Greater London
Product Manager
Overview
Job Description
Mail In previous years we've focused purely on giving Pride attendees the best experience we can. This year though, we're also looking to understand how we can better support the community on the 364 other days of the year when there is no Parade. The Product function is brand new to the Digital team this year, as we've reached a place where we have a strong foundation to build on and the right skills in the team to support it. Rather than split our projects between 'Website' and 'App' again, this year we're looking to solve problems for users and other Pride teams alike across both platforms at the same time. We want to have a huge positive impact on the community, and so all of our work is Open Source and available for free for anyone to download. Someday we hope to to offer a white label platform that any Pride big or small can use to host their own website and/or app to connect with their local community. To get there though, we need your help to evaluate and prioritise how we should best spend the limited time that we have. We also need the support of other teams at Pride who aren't digitally native, and so we're looking for someone who can help bring them along on the journey with us. In this role you'll be: * Owning one or more of Pride in London's key goals to work towards * Working with the Data and Insight team to uncover and define user problems * Working with the Pride volunteers to come up with possible solutions and validating those with users * Prioritising a backlog of opportunities based on effort and value to Pride * Liaising with other Pride teams to demonstrate how our work is supporting their needs What you get out of it: * To shape the way Pride builds digital products from the ground up * The chance to see the product process through from start to finish * The chance to help define the roadmap for for London's second largest event * The ability to roll out work across both website and app simultaneously Time commitment: Each week you'll usually spend between 4-8 hours on Pride work. This includes a mixture of catchups, meetings and actual work. Depending on the projects we have on the go some weeks will be busier than others, but we'll give plenty of notice of what's coming up. We don't count it as Pride time, but the Digital team are a pretty social team and get together when we can for fun too. Apply Remind me later Or, know someone who would be a perfect fit?
