The purpose of this role is to support the Transport Shift-Manager and Compliance Manager within the transport operational running of the site. Working in a site which services blue-chip customers processing up to 800,000 parcels a day. You will be working with our driver teams to ensure a timely dispatch and conduct effective driver debriefs, managing safety and legal compliance aspects. All About You Key Responsibilities are: \t * Brief and debrief drivers to ensure that all instructions for their allocated runs are understood and actioned. \t * Liaise and partner with external and internal clients regarding collections and deliveries on the current service level and what's planned. \t * Revise driver log sheets with the drivers, ensuring that defects raised during vehicle checks are completed and all accidents/damage reported daily. \t * Ensure all key vehicle information is kept up to date on the system.\t \t\t * Undertake the completion of relevant tasks, including: \t\t * Downloading of information from digital tachographs \t\t * Monitoring & managing information from the vehicle telematics system \t\t * Update electronic transport management system \t\t * Ensure that every worker is fully compliant with legislative requirements \t\t * Ensure that operational procedures and general housekeeping are kept to a high standard \t \t \t * Undertaking H&S responsibilities e.g. yard walks, vehicle checks \t * Use source data to compile management reports \t * Deputise for the Shift Manager & Compliance Manager in their absence \t * Effective communication of information outside of the normal dispatch & debrief process Essential requirements: \t * PC literate in programmes such as Microsoft Office \t * Experience of working in a Logistics environment Desirable requirements: \t * Previous experience in a Traffic office environment \t * Experience in managing teams of people at 1st line manager or above \t * Systems knowledge & experience of working with telematics transport management systems and tachograph analysis (isotrak/ ortec/tachomaster) \t * Experience in compiling reports on KPI's from management information systems \t * CPC License -(National) " Education: Not Specified Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time
