This is an opportunity to shape one of the UKs most exciting and popular new brands as it goes from scrappy startup to household name. Product Management at Patch covers a wide range of key business areas. We're a consumer-facing brand which inspires customers into urban gardening and gives them the know-how to look after their plants. We're also a logistics company getting plants from growers to customers in major cities around the world as quickly and efficiently as possible. We are looking for a Product Manager to join our growing Product team. You'll work as part of a cross-functional engineering and design team on some of our key initiatives, collaborating with our operations and finance teams to identify and deliver great solutions. You will focus on making Patch a more efficient business through the use of technology. This could be by making it easier for customers to self-serve, automating how we buy plants and manage stock, or helping us deliver plants to customers faster. The role is for a 3 month full time contract with the opportunity to move to a full time role after the first 3 months. What will the job involve? * Lead key Product development streams * Analyse existing product performance and customer behaviour to inform product improvement ideas * Carry out user research and interviews with users both internal and external users * Define clear hypotheses for product improvements and establish metrics to track progress. * Report back on tests and use the success or failure of these tests to inform future product development * Support the Head of Product in setting the strategy and roadmap for Patch * Break down high-level quarterly objectives and create a structured approach to achieving them through iterative product improvements * Work collaboratively with other business functions to understand their goals and how Product can support them * Define clear user stories with just the right amount of detail * Defining and improving cross-functional processes using technology * Work side by side with the engineering and design team members to define solutions to technical problems * Ensure product changes are successfully on-boarded into the business by defining clear business processes and training users on how to use new functionality Requirements What experience, skills and traits do I need? * You are someone who is passionate about creating products based on insights from real people. * You have at least 4 years of experience as a Product Manager or similar role * You have experience taking a test and learn approach * You have experience working directly with Engineers/ Developers and Designers * Youre a strong communicator and enjoy working collaboratively * You take a user-centred design approach * You are interested in the process of designing Products and how to improve it * You love data and metrics Nice to have: * Working in a startup or scale-up * Experience in eCommerce * Experience in eCommerce back-office technology e.g. inventory management Benefits Whats in it for me?
