Due to exciting growth plans, we are on the lookout for the best talent to join our Defence, National Security, Consultancy and Commercial Business Units for September 2020. Even better, as this is an Apprenticeship, you'll be able to benefit from all of this without the cost of attending college as your studies will be funded through our apprenticeship levy. Whilst you're on the apprenticeship, you will study a suitable level mechanical engineering course, to progress your learning and development. This is a highly specialised subject area which is continually evolving and is in high demand in today's technology-driven industries. Outside of studying, you'll have a unique opportunity to apply your new knowledge and gain invaluable experience working on new technologies alongside some of the UKs brightest minds. You will attend college one day a week and the other 4 days, you will be on site applying what you've learnt, straight into practice. What would we like from you? \t * A minimum of 5 GCSE's at grade 4 or above (or equivalent), two of which should be in English, Maths or Science-based subject \t * Computer Literate \t * A demonstrable passion for mechanical engineering and problem-solving \t * You should also meet our requirements to achieve security clearance What else would we like? \t * A demonstrable passion for learning practical mechanical engineering skills, including CNC and manual milling, turning and bench tool skills \t * A keen interest in developing software skills in Computer Aided Manufacturing and Computer Aided Design \t * A keen attention to detail Why should you work for us?
