Litigation Solicitor Location: Wolverhampton, Birmingham Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 Hours: 35 hours per week between Monday - Friday (9.00-17.00) Williams & Dunne is a well renowned and established Consumer legal practice business and is part of a large and diverse group of businesses that operate across many separate sectors including media, financial services, legal and software development. The Litigation Solicitor Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen at Williams & Dunne to join our litigation team. We are one of the fastest growing law firms in the Midlands, specialising in civil litigation in particular financial claims. We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Litigation Solicitor within our company to help us with our planned growth. The successful candidate will be advising and supporting clients with their claims relating to a range of unsuitable investments purchased through financial advisors or banks including hedging products. Advising and supporting in relation to claims where inaccurate or misleading financial advice has been provided. Key role and responsibilities: As an experienced commercial litigation solicitor with at least 2 years post-qualification experience you will handle your own varied caseload as well as assisting on more complex matters within a busy team. You can expect to work on challenging and interesting disputes from day one to include: * Complex commercial contract disputes * Professional negligence * Debt recovery * Judicial review * Reputation management * Charity disputes In addition you will play an active role in the development of strong client relationships and work closely with colleagues across the Birmingham office to deliver joined up advice to clients. Requirements for the Litigation Solicitor Role Essential requirements: * The ideal candidate will be a technically excellent commercial litigation solicitor who can demonstrate 2 or more years' fee earning experience. * In addition they will be able to assist with the supervision of junior fee earners and help to develop and sustain existing client relationships. * A high level of attention to detail * Strong written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating an ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels * A positive, enthusiastic and proactive approach to your work * Effective personal, organisational and time management skills, and the ability to juggle multiple demands * The ability to work to tight timescales with a sense of urgency * The aptitude to work efficiently and effectively to progress your case load whilst maintaining the highest quality of work * Experience in a Legal or Insurance Environment The Person: We have created a working environment where your personal experience is as highly valued as your professional expertise; where your ideas and your thinking are rewarded, not just your results.
