The Developer Experience team is responsible for building developer features that span across the whole platform and also creates the infrastructure that allows other teams (e.g. the payments team) to launch self service features. You need to have experience in building full-stack products with the latest technologies like ReactJS, TypeScript, .Net Core, AWS, as well as a mix of ops and monitoring tools e.g. ELK stack. Were looking for a Technical Lead to join our Developer Platform. You need to have a product-first mindset and be developer focused. Were currently the leading open banking provider in the UK, and were just getting started As our Tech Lead for the Developer Experience team , you will: * Lead and mentor a team of experienced and passionate frontend and backend engineers; * Collaborate closely with the Product Manager(s) in the team to set the strategic direction for our developer experience; * Create a collaborative culture within a multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers, product managers and other experts from across the organisation; * Own new product features, from breaking down requirements to planning tasks for you and your team, and shipping to production rapidly and regularly; * Lead code reviews and provide guidance to junior engineers to maximise their potential and growth; * Help us scale and secure a unified developer experience across regions and countries; * Contribute to our culture, and help make sure TrueLayer remains an exceptional place to work. Requirements What we need from you: * Have demonstrable proficiency with ReactJS and its core principles, ideally with 3 or more years of hands-on experience; * Can demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in at least 1 Object Oriented Programming language, ideally NodeJS or C# (.NET Core); * Youre able to empathise with users and elevate their voice in internal decision making, helping us build a user-centric culture; * Experience mentoring, and ideally managing, engineers in a small team; * A passion to enhance our processes, our internal tools, and the way we work; * Have a strong understanding of HTML5/CSS3/SASS; * Can use data and tools to test your hypothesis, throwing away assumptions when necessary. Nice to haves: * Experience building self service tools at an API Platform; * Experience in a hyper-growth startup; * You have exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, ElasticSearch, Redis and other new technologies.
