We are looking for an advanced level apprentice to join the Business Operations and Administration team to support the business. You will have an exciting and busy role with opportunities for progression within the team and the business as a whole. Throughout your time you will also have the chance to engage with other teams in the support department such as; Finance, Bidding & Procurement. These challenging support roles combine practical on the job training alongside studying towards a degree level qualification in Business administration. What will you do? Your time will split between supporting the central management team, administration team, and Operations team. Whilst assisting with central management administration you will: * Support the Central Management Administration in providing confidential, professional and personal administrative support to the MD, as well as Heads of Department. * Be responsible for making and filtering telephone calls. * Be tasked with data processing and preparation of management information for monthly reporting. * Maintain a central repository (knowledge base) for the Central Management function. * Support the PA in proactively managing electronic diaries, scheduling appointments, creating and circulating agendas, organising key meetings and teleconferences dealing with administrative changes in a positive and resourceful manner. * Taking responsibility for meeting logistics including room booking, catering, equipment etc. * Support key meetings, taking minutes, sending out agendas, chasing actions prior to meetings, ensuring the Directors are prepared with pre reading, agenda, actions etc. * Assist the Director with meeting Chemring Group reporting deadlines. Whilst supporting the admin team you will get experience: * Arranging meetings / conferences (sending invites, booking rooms, catering, booking in visitors). * Monitoring the administration email inbox and allocation of tasks. * Managing calendars for managers and other employees. * Arranging foreign and UK travel (flights, hire cars, accommodation) and visa's where required. * Training coordination. Within our business operations team you will learn about and gain exposure to: * Matrix structures * Resourcing practices * Business Analysis * Capacity Planning * Professional Dash boarding Skills required * Good communication skills. * Strong organiser with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure * Confident, proactive, enthusiastic nature * Good IT Skills (MS Office, Excel and Word) Qualifications required * GCSE grades A-C in Maths and English * A Levels or NVQ Level 3 in English, Humanities or Science subjects.?
