An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Healthcare Assistant to join our busy Ward team at The Yorkshire Clinic . We have two wards covering all surgical specialities and the successful candidate would join the team providing a high standard of patient care. The Yorkshire Clinic is currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Health Care Assistant . The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills; work well within a team and have previous experience. NVQ Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care. Role Purpose & Core Responsibilities: * To provide fundamental quality care for patients which include but are not limited to: assistance with mobility, hygiene, nutrition and elimination * Contribute to quality improvement * Ensure care environment is clean and tidy at all times meeting IPC requirements * Provide individualised care to all patients with care and compassion; go the extra mile in making patients stay comfortable * Support registered nursing staff with clinical tasks (Vital signs, simple wound care, catheter care) * Deliver care directed by the registered nurses * Develop and enhance the skills and knowledge of others and self * Promote best evidence based practice within own scope of practice * Apply legislation, policies and procedures correctly * Respect the patient's dignity, privacy, wishes and beliefs Knowledge/ Skills/ Qualifications: * Good interpersonal and communication skills * Ability to work as part of a team * Organised * NVQ Level 3 * Care Certificate Applicants should be smart, polite and flexible in their approach to work. This will include early, late and long days and nights.
