The Role When clients put their accounts in the hands of Armstrong Watson, they're on their way to forming the foundations of a stronger, more efficient future for their organisation. Prepared by our expert teams and claiming all the available allowances to minimise their tax liability, we give clients practical, commercial advice - focussing on their future, understanding their business and helping them get where they want to be. Our team of professionals rapidly become trusted advisers for anything to do with the business, providing stability and growth. We are looking for an Accounting Senior to join the team within our Kendal Office. This role will involve preparing accounts for various businesses, including limited companies, sole traders and partnerships together with the associated tax computations. The post holder will receive an excellent opportunity to discover all the benefits that working for the Xero Accounting Partner of the year can offer. A working knowledge of Xero is desirable, though not essential as full Xero training will be provided, as is the preparation of management accounts. Some of the work undertaken in this role will take place on client's premises and so some travel will be required. Strong communications skills are essential for the client interaction aspects of this role. You will be expected to manage your own workload, complete the work within the budgeted time and to the required deadlines. There will be the opportunity for progression if the required skills are demonstrated. The successful candidate will ideally be AAT qualified with sufficient relevant experience from an accountancy practice, including accounts preparation. This role is potentially open to candidates wanting to work part-time as options will be discussed upon application.
