Job Description

An opportunity has arisen within NHS Grampian for a Locum full time Consultant Urological Surgeon to join nine Consultants in the progressive Urology Department at the major University teaching hospital of Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for a period of 12 months. It is likely that following the completion of this contract a substantive post will be advertised. Applicants should have wide knowledge of and experience in all major branches of the specialty. The applicant is expected to play a role in the management of general Urology conditions and contribute to the on-call rota. NHS Grampian have opened two new minimally invasive theatres and installed the first Da Vinci robotic system in Scotland. We are committed to developing state of the art technology within the unit. In addition to fixed duties, the post offers excellent opportunities for both teaching and research. The department would consider applications from individuals with any sub-specialty interests and consider how best to utilise these within the existing team.
