Job Description
Fibre Planner - Telecoms Fibre Planner - FTTx / Fibre - Home Based Roc Search are currently recruiting for a Fibre Planner to join a highly successful team working for one of the UK's leading Telecoms companies. This is a home-based position, with occasional travel to Cheshire, normally once a month. They are expanding the team and are looking for another Fibre Planner to come on board and assist with their London-based clients. You would be working on a variety of projects, most notably the following: * Fixed and cable operator fibre design, including detailed knowledge of their planning guidelines and ways of working on GPON, FTTX and HFC networks. * Knowledge of FTTx topology including mixed networks with GPON, G.Fast, VDSL, HFC, DOCSIS * Strong knowledge of available passive components applicable to FTTx networks and FTTx deployment technologies * Experience with Permit drafting/drawings, High Level Design (Nominal Design), Low Level Design (Detailed Design) and As Built Engineering * Experience conducting quality control of fibre engineering designs * Understanding of OSP network design key drivers affecting cost in OSP network roll outs This is an excellent opportunity for the successful applicant to gain further experience within the telecoms industry with great rewards including a car allowance.
