Job Description
We are one of the UK's leading providers of care for those with Learning Disabilities, whether that be residential or supporter living. We specialise in supporting our service users to live a full and meaningful life. We are looking for passionate individuals to join our fantastic service and team, to support our service users' development in all areas of their lives. We support nearly 800 people with learning disabilities or brain injuries by ensuring that options, independence and personal choice are key to our service users' success. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect, dignity and provided the opportunity to progress in life. We're incredibly proud of the fact that every service we operate is rated as 'Good' or 'Outstanding' with CQC You will be responsible for ensuring our services deliver the highest level of care. We have just registered this service with CQC and are determined to get it an 'Outstanding' with your support! It goes without saying that you'll be very familiar with CQC expectations, as well as the Health and Social Care Act & the Mental Capacity Act. As you'll be responsible for both service users and staff, experience and knowledge of complex and challenging behaviour that is found in those with Learning Disabilities is needed. You will be help support the services users, we work with each person to provide them with individual and specific goals, whether that be education, developing relationships, care plans or helping them integrate with the wider world (through activities or volunteer opportunities). A huge part of what you'll do is be a friend to them; you'll be someone that listens and genuinely cares. You'll get involved with helping people live they life they want live. You'll build strong relationships with our service users so you'll have a good sense of humour, patience, dedication and most importantly you care! Of course, you'll be independent, honest and determined to set a good example. As much as you'll help us look after our residents, we'll look after you - most people stay with us for at least 5 years! What we need from you: - Strong leadership skills - Drive to help improve the lives of people - Desire to develop and learn new skills - Strong communication skills - The ability to be a great role model! - Driver - preferable not essential - we're a shoft walk from the train station Shifts, Hours & Benefits: - Full time - Variety of shifts - earlies, lates, office hours and sleep-ins across the week. - Weekend shifts - Salary £20,000 - £22,500 - Childcare vouchers - 31 days holiday (including bank holidays) increasing the longer you're with us - In-house funded qualification programmes - Pension - Benefits package!
