Experience level: Junior Level Term: Permanent Working hours: Full-time Department: Corporate Private Equity Location: London The department The firm advises private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies at all stages of the downstream investment cycle, including management incentive plans, financings and refinancings, bolt-on investments, management change, recaps, corporate restructurings and exits. The firm also supports portfolio companies on legal issues that typically arise under private equity ownership and leveraged structures, with a particular focus on matters impacting the capital structure (including repatriation of equity from good / bad leavers and the issue of reserved equity to new joiners). The firm has been ranked as a leading law firm for private equity by IFLR1000 2020 and in the top tier for leveraged buyouts and private equity law by U.S. News - Best Lawyers Best Law Firms 2019. Our attorneys repeatedly have been listed as Leading Lawyers for private equity by Chambers Global, Chambers USA, Chambers Europe and Chambers UK. Requirements Person Specification The new hire will join the Corporate group, focusing their time on Private Equity. We are looking for an individual who has been retained by and qualified for at least a couple of months with the firm at which they trained in the London market (or experience in a similar common law jurisdiction), although those with less or more relevant experience will be considered on their merits. The successful candidate will have trained and been retained at a top tier London firm or in a known top tier private equity practice and had exposure to the private equity team during their training contract. Excellent written communication and drafting skills are required as well as the ability to demonstrate initiative. You must also possess the skills to take on a high degree of responsibility and manage a challenging work load within a fast paced and friendly environment.
