Job Description
Job Title Service Design Manager Location Knutsford As part of the overall Collaboration Solution Delivery organization; The Solutions Integrity team ensures effective handover from the product engineering team, providing for effective Level 2 user acceptance testing as it progresses through pre-production and production environments. It ensures all production level changes and appropriate testing is executed in alignment with agreed program timelines. In parallel, the team also ensures relevant service management and support frameworks are in place prior to the release of a solution as a production service. As a Service Design Manager, you'll be working closely with Architects, Engineers, Operational SME's, Transition Manager and Operational Readiness to design all aspects of new or changed products and ensuring service is fit for purpose. What will you be doing? Working closely with Key Project Stakeholders including Product & Service Owners suggesting, collating and validating IT Service to deliver business outcomes Producing service design packages which clearly and accurately define service definition and representation in the agreed Barclays service management toolset - Service First Acting as the service interface into the CTO and Engineering teams and the service subject matter experts To architect service design aspects and deliverables from product designs in order to efficiently deliver through IT Services to meet agreed Business Outcomes Working with Product Architects/CTO and Engineers to understand the changes required to technically implement solutions What we're looking for: Experience of designing enterprise IT Services either from scratch or integration with existing scaled services Strong experience of translating complex technical designs into service designs - specifying how an IT service is configured and represented in the standard toolset A strong understanding of ITIL V3 principles specifically Service Design, Transition and Service Operation Skills that will help you in the role: An understanding of Collaboration technology including virtual and physical desktop, mobile devices, messaging, unified communications, rich media etc Where will you be working?
