Application / Software Developer Khaos Control Solutions was born in 2000 and is a rapidly expanding software company based in Grantham, Lincolnshire. Position: Application / Software Developer Location: Grantham, NG31 (Commutable from Newark-on-Trent, Colsterworth, Melton Mowbray, Sleaford, Bourne, and surrounding areas) Contract type: Full Time, Permanent Salary: £22,000 - £30,000 per annum (depending on experience) plus a comprehensive employee benefits package Working Hours: 37.5 per week (Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17:00 hrs). We are seeking another innovative and dynamic Application / Software Developer to join our growing team. You will not be phased by comprehensive software systems nor writing scalable, complex code, and will thrive within our technical environment and relaxed yet dedicated working culture. You will want to learn how our systems work and take that knowledge to the next level, improving and developing our software solutions, helping your colleagues succeed, and aiding our customers in taking their businesses forward. By continually expanding your understanding of our systems and the way they work at an in depth technical level, you will deliver to a high standard. You will have an attention to detail, and will be ready for a career opportunity within a forward-thinking organisation. SKILLS FOR THE ROLE Essential * Experience working with Delphi and/or C# programming languages. * An ability to analyse and understand customer requirements and deliver against them efficiently and effectively. * A familiarity with database technologies and their uses. * An ability to identify potential issues within existing code and provide effective solutions to problems. * A can-do attitude with an ability to problem solve, prioritise, and manage workload. * An understanding of the importance of data protection and information security best-practices. * A team player; effective under your own steam and equally at ease collaborating with colleagues. * Ready to learn and to continue learning. Desirable * A familiarity with retail and e-commerce businesses, how they work, and their key processes. * Previous work experience within a technical environment. * An understanding of Agile principles, Kanban, and Scrum frameworks, and how these can be effectively used together. * Knowledge of MSSQL, PostgreSQL, and other database technologies, with the ability to write and understand efficient, scalable, structured queries. * Experience working with cloud technologies such as Azure. * High level of proficiency with Delphi and/or C# programming languages. QUALIFICATIONS Essential * Minimum of Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent) high grade passes. Desirable * Computer Science related degree or comparable qualification.
