Job Description
What is involved? Volunteer leaders enable and empower our volunteers and play a key role in our vibrant volunteer community. As a volunteer leader you will help ensure our volunteers are connected, supported, developed and feel valued. You will support staff and volunteers with the coordination, engagement and organisation of volunteers. This will include creating and providing social and peer support opportunities for volunteers to ensure their time with us is engaging, person-centred and inclusive. It will also involve supporting staff with volunteer recruitment and exit interviews and helping to identify the induction, development or training needs for individuals and groups of volunteers. You will be able to complete the role flexibly, an hour or two a week and on evenings and weekends. You will need to check in with your peers and colleagues regularly and be responsive to need. You will be able to volunteer at our office in Milton keynes, in a community based setting or from home. You will equip, support and lead volunteers who will truly transform the lives of people who are living with dementia What you need to know: We need to ensure that people living with dementia who benefit from our services are safe. In order for us to do this we interview, check and train our volunteers in on-going roles. If you have an accessibility need we'll make reasonable adjustments to enable you to volunteer.
