Senior Java Developer Chester £50,000 ShortList Recruitment are working with a market leading company based near Chester who are looking to add a Senior Java Developer to their team. The focus of the role is leading the development and delivery of innovative analytical software solutions. Working as a Senior Java Developer as part of a small team of highly skilled developers you will have a passion for software engineering and you will be leading and mentoring more junior developers as well as helping with the recruitment process to expand the team. The key skills required for the Senior Java Developer are: * Java Development experience * Expertise in app related technologies (Java/Swift/Kotlin) * Extensive experience and passion for software engineering * RESTful API design * MongoDB, MySQL * Extensive experience designing and writing robust apps in a fast changing environment with rapid release cycle * Expertise with mainstream app development and deployment tool chains. (IDE, SCCS, CI) * Understanding of Agile principles and experience working in Agile teams As the Senior Java Developer you will be able to work well in a team and also independently in a highly delivery focused environment. You will be encouraged to bring your own ideas to the table, articulate them to the team and build your ideas.
