Daytime GP - Private Practice (2 days a week)

Job Description
The London General Practice has a rare opportunity for a permanent GP to join our daytime team for 2 days per week (preferably Tuesday and Thursday). The successful candidate will work in our state of the art premises on Harley Street, which serves a well-established patient and corporate portfolio. You will also participate in the practice out of hours on-call rota. As part of our team, you will be responsible for: * Carrying out private GP appointments, typically lasting a minimum of 30 minutes, and health assessments * Listening to patients, diagnosing and treating their symptoms * Recommending tests appropriate for the patient's condition, ensuring that they are always informed of the costs * Taking responsibility for urgent results and following through as appropriate. * Ensuring that all patients are informed of abnormal results, their significance, and, where appropriate make suggestions for further action * Attending and participating in clinical meetings and training sessions as required * Assisting in clinical audit where needed and requested. * Maintaining confidentiality and impartiality * Following the procedure for the maintenance of patient records * Ensuring that patient referrals, letters and medical reports are completed in a timely manner Requirements * Full GMC registration with a licence to practice * GP registration * Member of medical defence organisation * Strong interpersonal and communication skills * Customer relationship management experience * Commercial awareness * Ability to work as part of a multifunctional team and communicate at all levels * Immunisation record * Demonstrable post registration experience including time in General Practice * Must be currently/ recently active in Clinical Practice * Current BLS certificate * A minimum of 1 year post qualification experience in General Practice * Previous private patient experience is prefered.
