Job Description

We have a permanent job opportunity available for a Furniture Delivery Driver . This position is a mix of home deliveries, warehouse duties and furniture assembly. To be considered for this position you will need a clean driving licence, experience of driving a 3.5tonne van, happy and able with heavy lifting, assembly skills and a smart, polite personality. You should also be able to work on Saturdays as part of your normal working week. Duties and responsibilities include; * Driving a 3.5tonne van (50% of the time) * Delivering furniture (including heavy items) * Loading and unloading the van * Assisting in the warehouse with goods in, packing and picking * Assembling furniture in customers' homes * Delivery paperwork * Giving great service to customers (polite, friendly and helpful) Requirements The ideal person for this role; * A clean driving licence * Experience of driving a 3.5tonne, or larger, vehicle * Able to do heavy lifting * Honest and trustworthy * Polite and friendly with smart appearance * Ability to assemble furniture * Warehouse experience would be a bonus * Ideally a non-smoker * Good with people Benefits Salary and benefits summary; * £8.21 per hour * Full time (5 days per week which includes Saturdays) 37 hours per week+ * Permanent job, direct with the employer * Company pension scheme * Staff discount scheme * 28 days' holiday entitlement * Free car parking
