Overview

Job Description

Summary: Role: Senior full stack engineer Salary: 50k negotiable Equity range: 1-5% negotiable Holiday: 25 days What is limber limber is an invoicing, payroll and pension tool for freelancers, solo-preneurs, gig workers and slashies. We're also the World's first digital co-operative for freelancers, which means that all of our app users get shares in limber for every single penny they earn - as the co-operative grows, so does the value of their shares. The why Like many startups, we think the world of work is changing - people are looking for more varied, more flexible and more empowering ways to work. Unlike many startups in this space, we put those people first. Our mission is to help as many people as we can live a happy, flexible, but sustainable worklife. The happy, we think, comes from carving your own path as a freelancer or solo-preneuer either by using one skill at a time or many and by finally getting the flexibility many people yearn. And we help that by providing easy to use invoicing, admin and finance tools for our users. The sustainable comes from pooling all of your income towards a pension and into our unique equity scheme. We want to help people join forces and build value for their future - which is why we're proud to be a cooperative. The role We're looking for someone to lead limber's engineering efforts and grow into the CTO role as our startup scales. You'll be responsible for inputting into strategic technical decisions and providing your insight into our prioritisation. We like to run a fairly loose product roadmap to ensure we don't get tied down to one direction and you'll need to ensure that the team can respond to rapidly evolving business needs. We're looking for someone with experience in our stack and/or the ability to turn their hand to whichever technology we choose. We're also looking for someone who wants to lead a team in the future and nurture new talent. Our tech stack is, on the front-end, AngularJS (migrating to React), Webpack + modular Javascript, Sass, Cordova, Ionic. Our back-end, Java, GraphQL, Couchbase, AWS / Google Cloud. We're not expecting an exact match in tech stack - but we'll need you to be an enthusiastic amateur in the areas you don't have experience! You can see more about us here: Our culture and benefits Here are the 5 things that make us, us: Work flexibly Flexible employment options as standard.
