Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Multi-discipline medical team. You will be a highly valued member of our team bringing your expertise and skills in Gastroenterology and Endoscopic procedures. You'll provide high quality gastrointestinal service for the population of Ilford in a clean and modern hospital. About the role Reporting to the Hospital Medical Director, Tanvir Vandal, you will manage and lead a multi-professional team and perform a range of Endoscopic procedures. We have two endoscopy rooms, one purpose built and one in an adapted operating room. The endoscopy service is run with both Olympus and Fujinon endoscope systems. In this role you will be responsible for delivering diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures to referred NHS and private patients. You will be expected to deliver upper and lower day case gastroenterology services, principally carried out under local anaesthesia or without sedation. You will have full and specialist GMC registration as well as evidence of subspecialty training. In addition you will have experience of working in a specialist department treating upper and lower gastrointestinal conditions and the ability to offer an expert opinion on a range of problems in elective gastroenterology, drawing on substantial experience in the speciality.
