Job Description

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB To facilitate the movement of materials across site. To work in line with the Food Hygiene Standards and Health and Safety Regulations. SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES * To unload and check all deliveries on to the ERP system. * To pick products to the order specifications. * Ensure all products are loaded on to Lorries in the correct manner, ready for delivery to our customers. * To work towards the achievement of meeting production, supplier and customer requirements. * To work in a flexible manner, with the ability of working across different functions within Warehouse including the Tea and Coffee Factories. * Ensuring that you adhere to safe working practices and good housing keeping practices. * Responsible for the completion of all necessary paper work in line with SWP's and BRC to ensure all completed accurately and in a timely manner. * To work well as part of a team, ensuring that you help and support each other in all tasks that need to be completed. * Develop relationships, working practices, and effective communication channels with colleagues within Production, Blending, Supply Chain, QA, Engineers, and third Party Hauliers to work together in the joint ownership of any issues and problem solving activities. * Promote and work within the key behaviours in all tasks that are completed to ensure that the organisation can achieve its core purpose. * Identify individual training needs and show an enthusiasm to learn and develop with the role of Warehouse Operative. * Work in close partnership with fellow warehouse operatives to promote shared knowledge, transfer of skills and experience. * Ensure that you follow and adhere to Company Policies and Procedures (e.g. Hygiene Policy and the Attendance Policy. COMPETENCIES Business Related Competencies * To have a working knowledge of a Warehouse and Operational environment. * Basic problem solving skills. * Demonstrate characteristics of the key behaviours. * Fork Lift Truck Licence (Reach/Flexi/Counterbalance) * Basic understanding of quality awareness and checking. * Ability to understand basic instructions and work to SOP's General Competencies * To have an understanding of Health and Safety procedures and practices. * Achieve grade C or above in the relevant SHL numeracy and literacy tests. * Demonstrate characteristics of the key behaviours. * To have good common sense and the ability to use own initiative when required. * Personal Competencies * Working together Communication - Expressing ideas effectively in individual and group situations. Shift Pattern (Double Day Shift): Monday - Thursday 6AM to 2PM and Friday 6AM to 11:30AM (37.5 hours) and Monday - Thursday 2PM - 10PM and Friday 11:30AM - 5:00PM (37.5 hours)
