: Job - Services - Intermediate Level Primary Location - Newcastle, Cobalt Business Park Schedule - Full-time Shift - No Travel - Yes, 10% or less Security Clearance - Be willing and eligible to go through the vetting process Description The DXC Technology consultant is an experienced, multi-skilled professional, focused on operating and maintaining the operational environments of DXC customers as per the environment design and contractual agreements. The main goals are to deliver and manage the planned work for our customers, from the initial triage and impact to implementation planning, representation through technical and change advisory boards and handover to the 24*7 team for out of hours implementation, ensuring high availability of the service and to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction. The Technology Consultant II will manage the preparation of any change work for out of hours engineers including regular engagement with project managers and 3rd parties whilst driving continuous improvement to processes and providing operational support end to end in DXC-managed operational environments within Data Centre and Cloud platforms. The Technology Consultant II is motivated to take ownership on improvements, to find innovative ways to maintain and stabilize the ways in which we manage the DXC infrastructure. They will also strive to continuously gain more skills including the willingness to learn Cloud based Technologies. Desirable Knowledge & Experience * Change Management and planning * Patch Management * Level 2 Infrastructure support within one or more of the following Technical Domains; Windows, Linux, Storage, Tooling & Monitoring * Capacity, Configuration Management * Reviews and approves design decisions to ensure that solutions exhibit high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, and reliability upon deployment * Utilizes standard corporate tools to record change activities for tracking purposes * DevOps & Agile methodology experience, working with small agile teams, is a plus
