Information Security Analyst

Business Controls and Supervision is looking for a highly energized, dynamic professional who is ready to join a fast-paced, world leader in the financial services industry. The successful candidate will work with a myriad of professionals in Global Markets Business Management, Chief Administrative Officers, Trading and Sales, Compliance, Legal and Operations and Technology. The position will report directly to the Manager in Belfast but will often be working independently and with a remit to cover all regions. **Overview:** The goal of the MSS Business Controls and Supervision team is to help establish a robust control environment and culture within the business worldwide. Developing a proactive control approach assists management in achieving strategic objectives, promotes efficiency, reduces the risk of loss and helps ensure compliance with corporate polices, procedures, laws and regulations. In addition, properly functioning internal controls enable management to deal with today's rapidly changing environment and prepare for future growth. **Key Responsibilities:** + Support the Operational Risk team and execute control initiatives across Information Security/Cyber, End User Computing, Data Privacy, and Electronic Communication. + Perform action steps to safeguard Client Confidential Information, ensure compliance with the EUC control framework, and appropriate corrective action items are created for gaps in electronic communications. + Collaborate with the various MSS points of contact across these program, as well as other compliance reporting initiatives that arise. + Maintain and establish relationships with global Businesses Leads and Functional stakeholders. + Participate in the Working Groups as appropriate as these forums prioritize and define control requirements, to be implemented globally. + Coordinate with Information Security Officers and Application Managers. + Coordinate and execute other initiatives as determined through BSC, which may include some detailed analysis at times. **Challenges:** Citi's ICG Markets & Securities Services business is a complex business with multiple products and services that span the globe. The environment is fast-paced which requires quick thinking, organizational skills, high energy, and timely turnaround. The areas of data analytics and data distribution are also areas of innovation where there is a lack of defined regulation, policy and precedent. The role requires a significant amount drive and thought leadership in order to generate collaboration and motivate change. **Critical Success Factors:** After 12 months, the candidate should: + Establish a strong working relationship with Business Managers, Trading and Sales. Interaction with IA, Compliance, Legal and Operations and Technology should be BAU. Maintain good standing in key metrics produced by Citi and / or ICG. **Development Value:** MSS is a global leader in underwriting, structuring, and trading across all asset classes, including equities, corporate bonds, government and agency bonds, asset-backed and mortgage-backed securities, syndicated loans, structured and futures products. The candidate will work with and have high visibility with senior managers/staff in business and support functions. Data analytics and data distribution is also an area of emerging regulatory focus. This role is expected to expand in perception and importance as the broader data ecosystem evolves. **Skills:** + A strong interest in mining various sources of data, and creating useful relevant information for MSS. + Demonstrable ability to manage business stakeholders, including those not reporting into MSS. + An ability to solve complex problems in a collaborative environment. Strong desktop/PC skills which include working knowledge of MS suite of applications, specifically Excel and PowerPoint. **Competencies:** + Communication - Excellent oral and written communications skills; Must be articulate and persuasive. + Change Agent - Ability to drive change to business practices by working effectively. Ability to analyze a process and recommend ways to improve quality, controls, and efficiency. **Qualifications:** + 5-8 years Project Management experience in financial services, control compliance or legal disciplines + Experience with work-flow systems + Excellent project management and organizational skills. + Outstanding relationship building and relationship management skills + Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills + Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel + Self
