Role Summary: The Subsea Power & Comms Engineering Manager will provide technical and operational leadership for all projects & products relating to communications and power distribution across the combined Subsea Production & Intervention Controls Systems Group. It will include functional leadership of Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical and embedded S/W Engineers and will have full responsibility for all aspects relating to the execution of all related projects within the Group. Essential Responsibilities: + Leadinga large team of multi-disciplinary engineers globally (Electronic, Electrical,Mechanical and Embedded S/W). + Developmentof a world class multi-disciplinary engineering team providing overalltechnical guidance and development of a world class product offering. + Managementacross leadership (both peers and senior leaders) to ensure delivery andflawless execution of all relevant based NPI and customer specific projectdeliverables (EPC and Brownfield Project types). + Interfaceto internal and external regional clients, building relationships and worldclass response / interaction. + Determinationof product roadmap (along with Product Management), lifecycle and ongoingsustainability of the product suite. + Developmentof mechanisms to drive improvements to customer outcomes through theapplication of data science / analytics to the large volumes of data generatedfrom our deployed products. + Abilityto drive deep understanding of product performance through development andtesting. + Collaborationwith the Projects and Systems Integration Engineering teams. + Ownershipof process improvements (Agile etc.) and Say / Do metrics. + Ownershipof S/W Quality procedures and overall governance. + Diligentcontrol of Technical Change process. + Leadershipacross Product Service and 24 / 7 activities ensuring consistency of serviceand full rota coverage as needed. Qualifications/Requirements: + Bachelor ormaster's degree in engineering or a science-based discipline or equivalentknowledge and experience. + Proven Subseaexperience across Production and/or Intervention Controls technology. + Experience inleading global teams and developing talent. + Deep understandingof Subsea architecture and ability to translate that into a winning Subsea offering. + Deep understandingof embedded S/W languages and development processes (Agile etc.) + Practicalknowledge of NPI and project requisition processes. + Solidunderstanding of Baker Hughes Digital Strategy / tools and linkage to product offering. + Ability tochampion and promote the Baker Hughes Cultural Pillars. + Experiencedeveloping world class, market leading products. + Experiencedelivering projects on both small and large scales. Ability to travelinternationally, as required, at short notice. + Fluent Englishspeaker.
