Job Description
QC Microbiology Lab Technician Internship What are we looking for? AstraZeneca are looking to appoint undergraduate students who are currently in their first or second year of studying a Biology or Chemistry degree and are interested in pursuing a career in industry. Enthusiasm, professionalism and a sense of fun are key to this role, as well as the ability to work as part of a team. You should be curious about the pharmaceutical industry and passionate about using cutting edge science to develop and deliver medicines which make a difference to patients' lives. You should also have a good academic background and be prepared to apply your knowledge in a practical way. What can we offer you? 10- 12 week summer placement positions are available in the QC (Quality Control) department at our Macclesfield site in Cheshire. You will learn to test products, materials and laboratory results against the agreed Quality Standards to ensure the quality, safety and efficacy of these products to the customer or user. Training will be provided to ensure the appropriate quality systems are followed in order for the laboratory to meet its responsibilities with respect to GCL, GMP and SHE. Working knowledge of LEAN tools and techniques will be gained. How to apply: Applications will be open until 2nd February 2020. Interviews will be held at the Macclesfield site. The placements will take place over 10-12 weeks, from 22nd June 2020. A salary will be paid.
