Supplier Relationship Manager Location: Belgium (Groot-Bijgaarden), UK (Macclesfield), Sweden (Sodertalje) At AstraZeneca, we don't follow the crowd and that means we don't expect our people to either. Global Logistics has approximately 165 employees, based in 39 different countries across the world. The Logistics Team are responsible for leading the distribution of all products, delivered through +1200 routes around the world. That's 100% of AZ's commercial shipments between points in the supply chain, from international freight logistics right through to in-country distribution; getting medicines from factory to customer. The Role: You will be accountable for working with our Suppliers to deliver the Global Logistics Strategic, Project and Operational goals. You will achieve this by ensuring that these goals and plans are translated by our Suppliers into their own Strategy, Operational Plans and Visible Performance indicators. Ensure that Supplier and AstraZeneca have aligned plans that identify and prioritise activities to accomplish the short and long-term goals. You will achieve the required Service standards by holding our Suppliers to account and remediating any Service issues that may impact performance, collaborating with the Supplier to drive value. You will ensure that supplier management and communication is in line with the Supplier Management Framework. Main Duties and Responsibilities In this role, you will be accountable for the Suppliers day to day operational Service delivery across the supply chain, ensuring orders are delivered On Time and Stock Outs avoided. You will manage the supplier at our EU Distribution Centre, to achieve efficiency through e2e Supply Chain. Ensure that orders are to plan and to the designed lead time by focussing on the consistent application of Operational Excellence. You will deliver positive Project and Business Continuity Plan outcomes through the effective management of the Supplier ensuring that all activities are delivered to budget and time. You will provide both tactical and operational leadership to Supplier, engaging Supplier in creating a sustainable Lean culture of continuous improvement. One of your key accountabilities will be to ensure both individually and through the team that all aspects of the business operate within defined regulatory, legislative, contractual and corporate requirements. You will ensure that processes are carried out in accordance with AstraZeneca's corporate values, Good Distribution Practices, Public Health Codes, SHE, SOx, Code of conduct and group policies Essential Requirements + Bachelors Degree in Business, Logistics, Engineering, Management or equivalent experience + Experience of working with or for a Freight Forwarder, Logistics Service Provider or 3rd Party Logistics Provider + Life Science Industry experience, including GxP regulated environments + Knowledge of Logistics Industry, government agencies and regulatory authorities and regulations associated with the international distribution of pharmaceutical products + Strong interpersonal skills and a team coach + Experience in global enterprise resource planning systems (i.e. SAP, WMS & TMS) + Track Record in demonstrating sound critical judgement + Proficient in English Desirable Requirements + Supplier Management Programme accredited (The International Association for Contract & Commercial Management or Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply or similar) + Supply Chain accredited ie APICS CLTD + Logistics accredited ie CILT + Prior experience of leading teams + Experienced Lean Practitioner + Customer Service or Management experience + Analytical capability and + International experience + Ability to speak additional languages
