Regional Training Instructor (HGV Drivers) will undertake tasks relating to all Driver Training, compliance, planning, reporting and cost control. Tasks supporting the company Driver Training program include; assisting in the developing of raw training material related to HGV ADR Tanker Drivers. Supporting and assisting the Operations team to ensure that training plans do not have an impact on the operation whilst maintaining regulatory compliance. Assisting in the developing and implementing an effective training Matrix based on a 5-year framework. Proactively support auditing processes, practices, licences and certification. Delivering both practical and classroom training on either a 1-2-1 basis or in groups as applicable, The role will also support the operations team make submissions for any necessary driver training needs based on incidents or none driver compliance, Collate training attendance records, record training on both internal and external SQA and JAUPT regulatory data bases. Key responsibilities but not limited to: * Support as needed with the implementation of an effective legal compliance and risk program relating to driver Training * Assist with the development of internal controls and monitor adherence to them * Organise/deliver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) training of drivers and record appropriately * Organise/deliver Petroleum Driver Passport (PDP) training of drivers and record appropriately * Organise/deliver ADR (Class 3 in tanks as a minimum) training of drivers and record appropriately * Organise/deliver General and specialist driver training requirements and record appropriately * Carryout practical and assessment training * Data entry relating to transport training activities both internal and external systems * Collaborate with external auditors and HR when needed * Support colleagues on their knowledge of company polices, processes and regulations * Address employee concerns or questions on driver training legal compliance * Build close relationships with Regulatory Bodies (JAUPT, SQA and Dft) * Liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure training given is in line with legal requirements and Watson remain compliant at all times * Daily communication with the Fleet and Operations Teams updating training plans as needed * Weekly and monthly reporting into National Fleet and Compliance Manager * Assistance with the management of training courses; reviewing content/creating new courses as needed. Certification of courses with regulatory bodies * Comply and adhere to Weekly and Monthly KPI reports and develop to suit business needs PERSON SPECIFICATION (BACKGROUND AND SKILLS): Essential * HGV Driver Training experience and HGV Driving experience are essential. * Valid HGV Class C+E driving license is required as is some travel within the UK will be necessary * Good listening and relationship building skills * Qualified to deliv
