About The Team: Our portfolio covers small to large-scale, complex and multidisciplinary civil engineering projects both in UK and overseas. Our team in Birmingham is working closely with some of the UK's most established and recognizable companies including Severn Trent, Canal & Rivers Trust, The Environment Agency, Natural Resource Wales and our D&B Contractor clients including Murphy's and Effiage Kier on the HS2 project. You will have the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of projects that are prestigious, diverse and technically demanding. Requirements: Proven experience in civil engineering projects for the water/utilities industry to help on the HS2 project. To be considered for a role we are seeking candidates with the following credentials: Minimum Academic Qualifications: * HNC in Civil Engineering or related field, but not essential Essential Experience: * Expert user of AutoCad, Civils 3D, Revit and other Autodesk packages * Previous experience of MicroStation AECOsim would be an advantage * Experience in the use of ProjectWise * Extensive CAD/BIM experience in utilities within the civil engineering sector for the water/utilities industry would be a preference * Team player, strong communicator, self-starter, organized, driven to deliver * Able to prioritize workload and deliver to tight deadlines Duties & Responsibilities: Reporting to the Team Leader, you will lead or assist in the successful delivery of 3D and 2D graphical information relating to water and utilities projects from concept to construction. Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to: * Ensuring the production of project documents that are accurate, clear and concise and compliant with best practice and any other standards dictated by the nature of the project * Assisting in the resolution of complex technical modelling issues * Working to make sure that the drafting component of the project comes within budget and deadline * Mentoring other members of the modelling team in their development including our overseas support team * Developing and maintaining professional relationships with Project team members * Becoming familiar with, and compliant with, relevant Health & Safety regulations * Document management, including drawing register Key competencies / Values: * Client focus - differentiating through tailored skills and depth of client understanding * Excellence - striving for excellence, recognising that excellence is defined by our clients * Trust - building and retaining relationships of trust with our clients, colleagues and business partners * Teamwork - working together as a team for the Group, not just the individual * Responsibility - taking responsibility for our performance and our safety * People - we create the environment for people to realise their potential Why Arcadis?
