Technical Product Manager

Job Description
Global Relay requires an experienced Technical Product Owner ("TPO") to assume ownership of specific components/features of Global Relay's enterprise messaging application "Message." You will work closely with your development and test lead counterparts, other TPOs, and product management to deliver on the product roadmap, driving new products and features through the development process. Working with product management, the London based TPO will define detailed business requirements, user journeys/stories, and acceptance criteria for specific features, and collaborate with the team leads, architects, and UI/UX to ensure high quality designs are produced. Your Job: + Own the up and down responsibility for the delivery of their component/feature + Collaborate with senior product management, sales, support, clients, and other TPOs in London and Vancouver to produce and manage your component's backlog and contribute to the Message product roadmap + Translate product roadmaps and feature requests into models, workflow diagrams, user stories, acceptance criteria, and other suitable artifacts + Collaborate with other TPOs, architects, UI/UX, and team leads to drive requirements through the design phase + Identify and coordinate cross-component dependencies throughout the development process + Work with product management, development, and other departments to actively remove obstacles blocking progress and ensure program is within schedule + Prioritize and groom your team(s) backlog + Attend daily stand-ups, grooming, sprint planning, demos, retrospectives and other team meetings with your agile team(s) + Create work estimates, track progress, and report status in the form of burn up/down charts + Understand the design, business logic, and technical architecture of their platform components and how those components interact with the rest of the platform + Serve as primary product expert (functional, not technical) for the components for which you are responsible About You: + Degree in engineering, computer science or related technical field + 3-5 years of experience as an IT product manager or product owner + Hands on experience with backend services + Experience with Agile and Scrum development methodologies + Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals + Experience with a SaaS, messaging, or enterprise software company + Experience drive cross-team initiatives and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization + Experience managing a remote team supporting a broader initiative + Strong requirement elicitation, analysis, domain modelling, use case modelling, workflow design, and documentation skills + Experience as a Business Analyst + Experience planning, monitoring, and reporting on project status Global Relay is the leading provider of cloud-based archiving, supervision, eDiscovery, and analytics to the global financial sector.
