Overview
Job Description
We are seeking to employ an equity research analyst with an accountancy background to work within the Chemicals team in London. The person will be responsible for supporting the lead analysts covering listed Chemicals stocks in EMEA. The role will include contact with Citi's sales & trading platform and institutional equity clients with the goal of developing the team's internal and external client franchises. **Responsibilities:** + Support on coverage of the major Chemical companies and suppliers. + Ownership of company and industry models, help maintain industry databases + Contribute to drafting research reports. + Support the analysts in developing new products and new stock coverage. **Skills:** + Clear knowledge of the equity research model + Sound grasp of financial analysis, financial modeling and valuation techniques + Excellent communication skills, both written and oral + A proven track record of rigorous analysis + An interest and understanding of stock markets + Ideally existing client relationships + An ability to work calmly and with accuracy under pressure + An ability to meet difficult deadlines + A team player **Qualifications:** + ACA/CFA qualified + Strong technical or technology background + Desire to learn about the Chemicals space + Financial Modelling experience + Understanding of company valuation methodologies **Background** Citi Research is a highly rated research unit comprising more than 300 research analysts in more than 30 locations around the world.
