## Primary Location ** ** Linen Porter Linen porter is responsible for preparing the bed linen, towelling and food and beverage linen to the contractor company for daily rewash. Operating Laundry equipment, washing machines and dryers. Dealing with the changing of the detergents which feed the machines. Summary of Responsibilities: Feed linen correctly into ironers for pressing Organize and prioritize work area according to business volumes Process linens in proper order Attention to quality of items fed Attention to and maintain consistent production standard expectations Excellent communication with colleagues regarding linen changes, damages, and miss fed items Complete working knowledge of all items processed, including folds, storage, etc. Complete working knowledge of all accounts linen types and feeding methods Cleanliness of work area - removal of dirty, stained or damaged items when applicable Complete working knowledge of ironer operation, including start, stop, speed Safety conscience, applicable personal protective equipment, hazards Able to maximize time through efficient actions, remain calm under pressure ## Employee Status Qualifications: * Previous experience is an asset Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to): * Constant standing and walking throughout shift Visa Requirements: * Must be legally eligible to work in the UK.
