Job Description

Team/Function Overview Compliance Technology is building a sophisticated next generation surveillance solution (TotalConduct) on top of a distributed data platform. The Belfast team is the global centre for the creation of feature-based surveillance algorithms using cutting edge technologies and techniques. The volume and variety of data involved in these surveillances and the complexity of the algorithms results in one of most challenging and appropriate use cases for big data technologies. Role / Position Overview You will play a pivotal role in defining the product roadmap and team backlog as well as driving execution of Citi's data initiatives including data infrastructure, modeling, and potentially other tools pertaining to advanced analytics/machine learning. Working with clients to understand their requirements & prioritise our roadmap, you are the key subject matter expert for our new Compliance platform and help to translate the product vision for the Engineering, Data Science, Architecture & Operational teams. Key Responsibilities: + Drive the analysis of business and customer requirements and transform them into well-designed products and features + Use a metrics-driven product development approach. Define success metrics for roadmap items and demonstrate measurable impact on those metrics + Collaborate daily within a scrum team and other cross-functional team members + Drive product vision to support our BI dashboards and data visualizations, bringing a strong desire to innovate and taking ideas from prototypes to MVP to production + Influence product prioritization and help build our overall product roadmap + Work closely with engineering to prioritize, plan, and track development + Communicate progress and demo new features to the rest of the organization + Participate in all team Scrum ceremonies, partnering with the Scrum Master for grooming and planning sessions Development Value: + Work with a globally distributed team of Big Data, Data Science & Search experts to lead the next generation of behavior research + Launch world class features that demonstrate the TotalConduct product excellence and solve customer problems. Knowledge/Experience: + Prior experience of working in a Product Ownership role in an Agile environment, preferably in the data domain + Comfortable with highly technical teams & able to communicate across technical & non-technical stakeholders + Demonstrated track record of managing data feeds to high data quality standards Skills: Desirable: + Hive, Vertica, Impala or similar and/or distributed cluster computing e.g. Spark + SQL or other relational database skills + Experience with quantitative and qualitative research Qualifications: A strong degree in any mathematical subject including physics, mathematics, engineering or computer science Exceptional candidates who do not meet these criteria may be considered for the role provided they have the necessary skills and experience.
