Line of Service Tax Industry/Sector Not Applicable Specialism General Tax Consulting Management Level Manager Job Description & Summary Meet the team: The role is to work on challenging tax issues within the recently formed Insourced Solutions for Tax ("IST") group in PwC. The IST group was formed in April 2017 upon the transfer of circa 600 GE tax professionals to PwC. In Ireland, the team comprises of 8 highly experienced cross functional tax professionals who advise on a broad spectrum of areas including corporate tax compliance, transfer pricing, M&A, VAT, RCT etc. The IST group represents a unique platform from which PwC can provide managed tax services to sophisticated clients. Through a combination of business experience and tax technical expertise, the IST platform enables PwC to provide an unparalleled client experience with an in-house feel. Whilst the group launched with just one client (GE), it now advises a number of MNCs across a variety of industries both in Ireland and internationally. The Role We have an exciting opportunity for a full time manager/senior manager for the ISTIreland group. The portfolio of clients extends across several business sectors and includes financial services, renewable energy, healthcare, oil & gas, power and aircraft leasing thereby giving you exposure to many varied commercial issues and taxes. You would have the opportunity to build very close relationships with your clients as you would be working day to day with them and acting almost as an extension of their in-house tax team. Responsibilities: * Involvement in tax research, tax planning, due diligence and other ad hoc projects pertaining to the IST group's clients * Proactively engage and partner with client business tax teams, and IST /PwC specialists, to deliver solutions to clients * Management and oversight of a tax compliance COE team * Drive standardization, automation, and process improvements, simplify processes and enhance existing analytical tools to ensure tax compliance * Partner with business finance teams in relation to compliance issues (e.g. RCT, PSWT and basic payroll matters) and management of internal and external auditor requests * Liaising with Irish Revenue on miscellaneous tax issues pertaining to the IST group's clients * Managing a program of tax self-reviews and any related follow up self-corrections/voluntary disclosures Development of your own career: Our high performing team can provide you with exciting projects, meaningful client interactions and the support to develop your career.
