Reporting directly into the Medical Director you will provide a high quality Scientific Service that delivers medical, pharmaceutical and technical support to both internal and external customers Provides high quality first line and second line Medical Information services to UK customers. Your responsibilities: Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provides high quality, accurate and balanced verbal and/or written answers to medical, pharmaceutical and technical enquiries from all Sandoz customers (both internal and external) on products across the entire Sandoz portfolio and with specific emphasis on key brands. Ensures all customer communications are handled in accordance with ABPI Code of Practice, P3 & PIPA guidelines Identifies, processes and reports adverse drug events and/or Product Quality Complaints to relevant departments within specified time lines. Acts as point of contact for third party agency responsible for outsourced enquiries. Supports management of training of agency staff on products as and when product allocation changes. Responsible for liaison with agency regarding guidance document revision / discontinuation / implementation and general maintenance. Provides support to, and works in collaboration with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Marketing and Sales, Commercial, and Corporate Communications Liaises with other Novartis divisions to ensure Med Info is up to date with and informed promptly of any relevant information. Provide Brand team with regular high-level insights in the form of statistics on trends and patterns observed with all incoming enquiries. Alerts HMI&E & Brand team to any issues in market place - e.g. quality, supply, enquiry patterns - which may need managing to protect TA/Brand objectives Works with Scientific Advisors, Medical Advisors, Brand and Sales teams on activities and new developments in their fields of interest to maintain clinical and commercial awareness Position Title: Senior Medical Information Specialist 12 Month Contract Minimum requirements: What you'll bring to the role: Pharmacy or Life Sciences Degree (or equivalent) Minimum 3 years' experience within Medical Information / Medical Affairs Function Experience in copy approval / zinc preferred but not essential Good knowledge of the ABPI code of practice.
