Job Description

**Job Background** : This role is within the Depositor Protection (DP) Regulatory Control team as part of the Belfast Operations Control department. The individual will be primarily responsible for Quality Assurance related to DP across 4 Legal Entities CBNA London, CEP UK, CEP Plc & CUKL. ORC provide monitoring and oversight of the SCV engine and related controls, including; producing data quality exceptions reports and other MIS from the engine. The candidate will be continuously engaged with Business as Usual (BAU) partners identifying areas for testing, raising observations for improvements and following up to ensure processes and procedures are updated as required. The ORC is working on building upon the existing DP governance process within O&T working closely with O&T managers and Client Asset & Depositor Protection Oversight (CA&DPO) Office. **Key Responsibilities** : + Establish a Quality Assurance programme for DP across all entities and business lines. + Perform periodic testing of the system mapping and logic. + Perform periodic testing of exclusion rule, eligible and non-eligible reports. + Perform periodic testing of data quality and non-data quality tests. + Perform periodic testing of Business As Usual (BAU) related tasks. + Report observations to management and key stakeholders. + Oversee the remediation of issues and observations raised to closure. + Produce MI that tracks effective observations and share with relevant stakeholders and governance forums. + Support the BAU team as required in the completion of tasks. + Participation in ad-hoc projects as required. **Development Value** : + Develop regulatory understanding with opportunity to develop into a DP/CASS subject matter expert (SME). + Develop an in depth knowledge of the products, markets and processes being supported. + Exposure to senior management groups across Operations. + Fully proficient in the use of technology within own department. + Enhancing communication and organisational skills. Meeting targets set within the group and interacting with a wide spectrum of people to achieve these skills. + Self-motivation, flexibility and a strong desire to succeed will bring a recognised and rewarded career. **Knowledge/Experience** : + The ideal candidate would have experience in Securities & Banking Operations, or in a Control or Regulatory/Compliance function with strong product knowledge and a working understanding of systems and product flows. + Knowledge of CASS rules and regulations would be advantageous. + Team player who works well with colleagues of all levels in achieving value-added results. + Ability to build productive working relationships across Operations + Ability to consistently deliver work of a high standard whilst under pressure. + Understand the front to back technology used within the day to day processes. **Skills** : + Self-starter, able to work on initiative and organise themselves well + Pro-active, Resilient and tenacious + Confident team player - good interpersonal skills + Able to build effective working relationships quickly and maintain them + Focused on providing a high standard of service to clients + Good attention to detail + Excellent written and oral communication skills; + Good working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint. **Qualifications:** + Educated to degree level + Industry Exams would be advantageous. + Exceptional candidates who do not meet these criteria may be considered for the role provided they have the necessary skills and experience. **Competencies** : + Accuracy and attention to detail imperative + Strong analytical skills with the confidence to raise issues + Good organisational skills + Flexible, ability to prioritise + Ability to build and maintain effective networks and relationships. + Service orientation, professionalism, proactive and strong client/business focus, and accountability ----- Grade :All Job Level - All Job FunctionsAll Job Level - All Job Functions - GB ----- Time Type :Full time ----- Citi is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
