Job Description
Position - Assistant Service Manager Location - Margate, Kent Salary - £22,500 p.a Hours - 39 hours per week - shift basis Why work here - We are a passionate organisation who supports people with complex needs and challenging behaviours across the South of England. About the Service - This is a residential care service which supports 2 people with complex needs, profound learning disabilities, autism and mild behaviours that challenge. Duties - Working closely with the Service Manager you will be responsible for motivating a team of Support Workers delivering high quality support and assisting in implementing current legislation and CQC requirements. You will be a role model and promote and maintain person-centred approaches and inclusive community links. You will play a vital role in attending care reviews, updating care plans and risk assessments, record and monitor daily logs, lead shifts, administer medication, and cover the rota where necessary. * Type of person required - Experience providing support to people with learning disabilities and varying support needs, experience managing small to medium staff teams in a social care environment, able to manage own time and work under pressure, good communication skills and flexible to cover the rota when needed across 7 days. Ability to work shifts with occasional sleep in's. Be flexible to work early mornings (7:30am - 3pm), late evenings (2:30pm - 10pm), days (9am - 5pm) and sleep ins. Occasional waking nights may be also be requested. Desirable: Hold a full valid driving licence and access to own vehicle.
