Tier 2 Senior Network Engineer - TS/SCI with Poly

: The National Solutions Group at Leidos has openings for Tier 2 Senior Network Engineers in direct support of the Broadside program at multiple CONUS and OCONUS locations. The selected candidates will be responsible for overall network engineering support for a broad range of programs including planning, designing, and evaluating various components of the network. Primary Roles & Responsibilities: Duties may include providing specifications for network architecture, evaluating and recommending new technologies to enhance current capabilities, and performing needs assessments. Support level duties may include monitoring, installation, modification, testing and servicing of network equipment. IMPACT: Works to achieve key project/program objectives and deliverables. Responsible for entire projects or processes spanning multiple technical areas. Manages large projects or processes with moderate impact on the achievement of sub-family results. COMPLEXITY: Develops solutions to complex technical issues and problems that impact multiple area or disciplines. Regularly employs ingenuity and creativity to develop new technical solutions and systems in order to achieve functional objectives. COMMUNICATION: Communicates with internal team members across multiple areas and client team members. May communicate with parties external to the organization (e.g., sub-contractors, vendors, etc.). Works to influence project/team leaders regarding solution design, process and/or approaches. LEADERSHIP & TALENT MANAGEMENT: KNOWLEDGE: Requires expert knowledge of and ability to apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts. Minimum Qualifications: * Typically requires BS degree and 8 - 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 - 10 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in a technical domain. * Expert knowledge of and ability to apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts. * Experience in design, maintenance, and operation of small to medium sized networks * Experience with military networks, CISCO routing and switching, and network troubleshooting * Knowledge of Cisco Switching/Routing product line * Hands-on experience diagnosing network related issues * Ability to work independently to resolve technical issues in a dynamic environment. * Active TS/SCI with Polygraph * Security+ Certification Security Clearance Requirement * Must have an active TS/SCI with a polygraph in order to be considered for this position.
