Job Description
Job Title: Associate Quality Engineer (QE) Location: UK-GB-Weybridge Job ID: 14192 Associate Quality Engineer (QE) Department : R&D Engineering Location : UK-England - Weybridge Role Purpose Works with members of the development and support organisation and is responsible for ensuring high quality standards and integrity of the verint Systems software suite. Responsible for executing test plans and processess, for quick delivery of high quality fixes to the field. Typically reports to a QA team lead. Job Profile The tasks the Associate QE is responsible for include (but are not limited to): 1. Execute verification and validation procedures based on the test plan and test cases, and document test results in repository. 2. Contribute to usability, integration, documentation of functional testing/ Record and verify defects using defect tracking tool with the ability to prioritize the severity. 3. Following industry standards for server deployment, VM management, inventory control. 4. Support and/or install software applications/ operating systems, as well as manage multiple testing environments. 5. Provide effective communication with geographically distributed team members. 6. Escalate urgent issues to quality assurance management. 7. Produces weekly status reports to give clear visibility to QA team lead to projects and tasks assigned. 8. Prepare and maintain QA artifacts based on project schedules, including, but not limited to test plans, tests cases, scripts, and metrics/reports. 9. Contribute to or lead test plan and test case reviews. 10. Produce and use metrics to continuously approve the process of building software and associated artifacts. 11. Executing existing automation workflows, and implement new flows for other areas. Candidate Profile 1. Understands basic networking with working knowledge of LAN/WAN technology. 2. Experience using: 1. database technologies e.g. Microsoft SQL, OBDC etc. 2. VMware or other virtualization technology. 3. agile methodology, such as SCRUM 4. defect tracking tool and quality/test management tool. 3. Testing experience with: 1. applications of SQL is preferred. 2. within a call centre or back office applications is desired. 3. switch, CTI, telephony, trading switch technologies is desired. 4. Ability to: 1. Work independently in a fast paces environment, estimating test cycles, producing regular status reports, and prioritise tasks. 2. work in a global environment and interface with remote groups. 3. take ownership and manage lab resources, including telephony and VMware resources. 4. contribute to a cross-functional team in daily stand-ups, sprint planning meetings and retrospectives. 5. setup, configure, and manage multiple testing environments.
