Having developed the world's first prescription medicine derived from the cannabis plant, Sativex, which treats spasticity due to multiple sclerosis,GW has now developed an oral formulation of purified cannabidiol (CBD), (approved as Epidyolex in Europe) for use as adjunctive therapy of seizures associated with Lennox Gastaut syndrome (LGS) or Dravet syndrome (DS), in conjunction with clobazam, for patients 2 years of age and older. Lennox-Gastaut syndrome or Dravet Syndrome are two rare and severe early-onset, drug-resistant epilepsy syndromes. CBD is approved in the US as Epidiolex. This is in addition to our deep pipeline of clinical stage cannabinoid candidates under development for both orphan and non-orphan indications with a particular focus on neurological conditions. In the UK, we have close to 550 employees from a diverse range of backgrounds and disciplines based on four sites in Cambridge, Kent, London and Andover, along with employees working in the field. Purpose The job holder will report to the Director of Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) and is pivotal to the implementation of the International (ex-US) HEOR strategy for new launches across Europe and internationally. GW Pharmaceuticals is in an exciting period of growth, launching Epidyolex in Europe Job and Internationally. Over the next 5 years we will also be launching significant new indications for Epidyolex and preparing for new pipeline products. GW is growing rapidly, and market access is a key pillar of the commercial strategy in the International region. GW is focusing on rapid and efficient paths to reimbursement in key markets utilising a hub model rather than the traditional affiliate structure, leading to a very "hands-on" role for the successful candidate. The primary purpose of this role will be to support the development of International HEOR materials, and work with local specialists to generate economic content for reimbursement dossiers in International markets. Close collaboration with International Market Access and Medical Affairs functions will be critical to success in this role. Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities Be a pivotal part of a cross-functional team aiming to achieve positive reimbursement and patient access in rapid timelines Support the development high-quality economic content for pricing and reimbursement dossiers, that is in line with the GW launch strategy Responsible for the coordination, development and quality control of health economic models (not limited to cost effectiveness and budget impact) and economic reports required for International HTA submissions Support in the generation of country-specific data inputs for economic modelling by undertaking HEOR evidence generation, including claims database analysis, burden of illness studies and epidemiology studies Effectively manage vendors and consultants involved in developing economic evidence and submissions Support development of the HEOR strategy for each submission, and preparing economic content for responses to queries or criticisms from HTA bodies during reimbursement procedures Contribute innovative ideas to the generation of pharmaco-economic, outcomes research and real-world data Collaborate with medical and market access team to ensure alignment in strategy and approach Contribute technical insights and value messaging in publications of GW HEOR materials Perform ad hoc duties as required, to support the overall success of the Market Access and HEOR team Key Skills / education / Experience Postgraduate qualification in Health Economics or related discipline Minimum 4 years within a pharmaceutical company or consultancy in HEOR role In-depth HEOR technical expertise and experience Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel Strong numerical skills with experience of leading on health economic modelling Organised with systematic approach to prioritisation Process orientated to achieve the business objective Demonstrable success in employing innovative techniques to overcome data limitations Prove
