We have a new opportunity for a Bank Children's Homecare Nurse. Essentially, we are looking for a talented, patient focused clinician to join our fantastic team in Glasgow. As a Children's Homecare Nurse, you will deliver gold standard, one to one, holistic care in the comfort of the patient's home or school. We offer a robust and flexible reward package including: + 20.00 per hour + Mileage paid at 36p per mile What does a Children's Homecare Nurse do at healthcare at home? Our children's nurses are ambassadors for delivering patient focused care - you will offer quality nursing that is tailored to the child's and family' needs, ensuring all professional standards are met and relevant support programmes are delivered. You will be treating children with a wide range of conditions including rare and orphan diseases, such as Lysosomal Storage Disorders and educating other children and their families on administering their medication to treat conditions like Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis, Crohn's disease, Psoriasis and Growth Hormone Deficiency. Your electronic feedback on care delivered and escalation when concerns are recognised, enable collaborative working with the NHS, ensuring the children's full needs are met. Educating through play or observing a child in school receiving intravenous care is all part of a normal day. What skills, qualifications and qualities do I need to be successful? In essence we are looking for clinicians who are dedicated to offering outstanding professional patient care, it's at the heart of what you do. You will be a Registered Sick Children's Nurse or Registered Nurse (Child) who is competent in the administration of IV therapies. This is an autonomous position and, so you will need to be able to work confidently and decisively without supervision. You also need to have strong communication skills, including actively listening, communicating sensitively and putting people at ease whilst making technical details easy to understand. Any additional skill required for the role, for example paediatric cannulation, or port access, are desirable skills, but we can up skill you at HaH if required. As this is a regional role travelling to visit patients in their home setting, therefore it is crucial that you have a full UK driving licence.
