This PLM Enterprise/Solution Architect will lead the functional & technical design & configuration of PLM (Teamcenter) applications. **Essential Responsibilities:** + Lead the review and documentation of current business processes and data structures. Build As-Is map of processes (and data), systems and tools. + Leverage PLM industry best-practices and Company global process strategy to define new business processes and data models. Build To-Be map of processes, systems and tools. + Deliver improvements and root-cause analysis for PLM related complex business problems, issues, and work closely with delivery project managers ensuring on-time execution of all deliverables. + Facilitate process and requirements workshops. + Direct the collection and review of business & functional requirements and design specifications aligned with To-Be processes. + Functional Authority: Define, document & formalize the goals and requirements the future state system; and convert requirements into detailed functional specifications (Functional Specification Document), User Stories and Use Cases. + Provide functional & technical solution design expertise in PLM processes in the following domains: (1) Product Configuration (variants & options); (2) Parts & BOM Structuring & Strategy (eBOM, mBOM, BOP, Service BOM et al), (3) Part Classification; (4) Engineering Document Management; (5) Enterprise / Engineering Change & Configuration Management; (6) CAD Integration and Design Release Management; and (7) PLM Integrations with ERP, MES, CRM, PP and other Enterprise Applications. + Define and execute the data migration & conversion strategy and technical plan. + Technical Authority: Define & own all components of the technical solution (incl. integrations) & data model, including solution specifications (Technical Design Document), software configuration & code, and associated IT infrastructure. + Design and develop a robust solution framework to meet business, functional & user requirements, with Out-Of-The-Box functionality keeping customization to a minimum. + Lead, direct and approve the work of Teamcenter architects and developer resources assigned to you. Build (including recruit) and develop the architect team required for the projects and support. + Work as a Digital Technology business partner with Business Process, Digital Engineering & Functional Leaders as well as application End Users. + Work in collaboration with architects & functional experts from ERP (Enterprise Resource Mgt.), MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), CRM (Customer Relationship Management)/Pricing & Costing and MBD/MBE (Model Based Design/Enterprise) to evaluate & improve business processes and arrive at mutual, cost effective solutions. + Support the PLM Project Managers in the planning and effective application of technical elements of change, and risk management principles where required. + Understand and take into consideration, risks, costs, benefits and possibilities offered by customization vs. configuration. + Create designs, application architecture & coding standards that are reusable, efficient, scalable, and meet the needs of the business. + Ensure that specific IT implementation standards are incorporated in to the implementation activity from the start of the project, including standard means of documentation, use of applications, middleware and other system standards. + Coordinate the consulting/contractor team's engagement and deliverables; drive outsourced supplier efforts as required; & manage contractors, estimate efforts, and schedules. + Co-ordinate and oversee user acceptance tes
